what does it mean to forgive?
forgiveness is one of THE ultimate letting gos. to forgive is a courageous act. it shows not only true character but also depth.
society often labels forgiving as a sign of weakness. but i think it’s actually one of the strongest actions a human can do.
being able to fearlessly look inside yourself or another and say ‘i forgive you.’
it’s the ultimate act of unconditional love. practically the biggest bench press for your heart!
however, forgiveness does not excuse any sort of wrong action. gotta remember we’re a bunch of messy humans just trying to figure it all out. we ALL make mistakes.
but the weight of holding onto stress and grudges can feel like thousands of pounds of excess fat on your heart.
think about how light-as-a-feather you could feel if you shed that unnecessary weight. it’s like THE. best. damn. juice cleanse. (currently #trending in my life)
i like to call it feeling #emotionallyskinny.
one of 2015’s ongoing meditations is detoxifying stress and negativity. in the body. the mind. and the soul.
so i’m working on my list of forgiveness. and i’m going to drop those extra pounds.
it also can’t hurt that i’m jet setting off to puerto rico in a month to celebrate love and want to look hot frolicking in my teeny tiny pineapple polka dot bikini : )
